Purpose of a MUD
A Municipal Utility District (MUD) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas authorized by the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to provide local community services (i.e., potable water, wastewater and sewage, drainage, trash / recycling, security, and other services) within the MUD District boundaries. The District is governed by a Board of Directors which has control over and management supervision of all District affairs. The MUD 19 Board is elected, in open elections, by the residents of NWWHC MUD 19.
On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we hope you find this information to be both educational and a helpful tool. It is our desire that each and every resident and/or property owner in the District be kept informed of the services and amenities provided by NWHC MUD 19.
